Having worked for the postal service for 24 years I transfered to a new office in Aug. of last year. At my last office I worked 15 years as a carrier and 8 years as a clerk. When I started work as a clerk at my new office I was told I would be working days (window clerk) but come to find out, once I make regular I then go to nights. When I became aware of this I immediately gave my postmaster a letter of intent to transfer to the carrier craft. My question is--can I be denied??? By the way, my sick leave is impeccable

Yes he will become a PTF again; yes they can
deny your transfer to carrier but usually if
you have a good record including safety and attendance, they don't, and of course there
has to be a vacancy; what does your form
50 says as far as the NOA do they have
you down as a Sales and Service Associate or
a Distribution/Window Clerk? you must work
in a large office to have graveyard shift?

Hey Postalwiz--not sure what a form 50 is or NOA but I am down as a distribution/window clerk.
So I take it from your response that they could deny me just because?? I have a great track record (otherwise I don't think they would have accepted me as a transfer last year)
Thanks for your reply
