I am a rehired annuitant . I was part of a DoD reduction in force in 1997. In 1997 I took an early out option from CSRS with 27 years service. I have been working with DoD as a rehired annuitant for just over 3 years. I draw a full CSRS annuity. Do I qualify to have my pension recomputed if I work for at least 5 years? As a rehired annuitant I pay social security but do not contribute to the federal retirement program.

I've been working for DOD as a reemployed annuitant. Under my program, and I'm confident yours, DOD does not recompute pension. We're bless with getting full pay for the grade we're working plus our regular retirement check. The trade off is you pay into social security and medicare and don't get any recomputation (credit for addition working time) for retirement compensation.
