Hello all,

I didn't know where to put this forum...so I stuck it in here.  Did anyone apply for the DEA Diversion Investigator position this month?

I know the posting came out on December 10th but I didn't apply until the afternoon on the 13th.  I know the announcement said they were accept the first 400 minimally qualified applicants.  I'm just wondering how popular this position is and I'm hoping I made the cut-off.

I applied around the 13th as well--I hope we weren't too late.  Seems like an interesting job.

Ok cool, if one of us finds out whether or not we applied before the end of the cut-off, we should post it here.

I applied for the DEA Diversion Investigator position. After checking the status of my application, I have passed basic qualifications- that notation was updated on 1-3-2010.

What is your status?

I haven't seen any updates.  I'm checking my status at that web site avuecentral.  I called the hr rep last week and she said they're still reviewing all applicants.  I don't even know if I made the cut for the first 400 applicants.  What day did you apply?

Thanks for the reply.

I checked my status at avuecentral as well. My status states, " HR Reviewed-Passed basic Qualifications"

I believe I applied on 12-11-2009 and the position closed on 12-16-09.

Wow...am I checking the same web site that you guys are checking?  My status still says Tentative passed qualifications.  I called the hr rep named in the announcement three weeks ago and she said call back in a week.  But since then she's impossible to get in touch with.  Her phone just rings and I've left a couple of messages.  I've had experience with the FBI hr in Philly and those guys are prompt with their responses and they give you more names to contact if you have questions.  I'm starting to wonder about the DEA.

You will get a responce either way.  Once I got the update there was a little information icon to check the meaning of the different messages.  You would have got something saying HR reviewed passed or HR reviewed failed.  Give it some more time, they might just be checking them at random order.

My avuecentral status was updated--it says that I was referred to select official.  I guess I made the 400 candidates.  Good luck everyone.

I was also referred to the selecting official for GS-09.

Might be better to list this post under the generic federal jobs area as no one will look for DEA information under the FBI info.

My status says "Referral List Issued - Referred to Selecting Official" but there's no location listed under that field.  Did you gents apply to multiple locations or only one?
