We all know "GS" stands for General Schedule, and SES for "Senior Executive Service," etc.  Anyone know what the "DR" pay code stands for, and where I might read more about this designation and its qualifications?  I can't find anything about it at the OPM website or anywhere else for that matter.

And, by the way, it's not for "doctor."  The DR positions I'm considering are for professional engineers.

Thanks!

Looks like I just found the answer to my own question at the defensetravel.dod.mil website.  DR is described as "Demonstration Air Force Scientist and Engineer," and the pay grades listed are "1-4, 11, 12, II, IV" if that makes any sense.  Does that mean it jumps from grade 4 to grade 11?

DR is ranked from 1-4, the 11 & 12 are GS equivalents,  and II, IVare likely the equivalents in the other departments (DR-01/04 is only used in Department of the Air Force activities)

I am experiencing a hard time trying to figure how how the pay scale/grades compare.  How does the DR -02/03/04 pay grades compare to the GS pay scale?  Is it a GS-7/9/11?  Just trying to get some clarity so that I am able to answer some quesitons appropriately.
