Hello, I was wondering if the Employment Verification Number (800-276-9850) is still being used and if it can verify past employment with the USPS?  If not, is there another way to get verified if your work location has closed?

I vaguely remember hearing something about a records place in TN to call, but I can't seem to find the info in my notes.

Well, I can't really answer your question but can confirm that the phone number you have quoted is no longer valid. The number has been disconnected.

However, I am interested if anyone else will chime in with the updated information.

Good luck

Thank you Male Man. Smile

Is TheWorkNumber.com what is being used for USPS now? I saw it here http://www.postalmag.com...-verification-number.htm

I tried to log in using my ID, but it said it wasn't valid. So, I'm assuming it can not be used to verify former employees either.

How about pulling out copies of your PS-50's.  That should be all you need.  If you no longer work there, then the last PS-50 you received upon retirement, resignation, or termination would state your reason for leaving and also include other employment information.
