Round four with my email being blocked.  I received a stack of documents through FOIA substantiating that a Federal agency blocked my email.  This time it includes my work email address as an employee of another Federal agency.  So not only have they violated my civil rights as a private citizen, they are now blocking my email as a Federal employee.

I have not sent hostile, harassing email.  I have never sent unnecessary documents.  I have never sent jokes, porn, or any objectionalbe materials and/or email.  I use my real name.  My email is sent to former co-workers, IT offices, EEO, FOIA, OGC and other operating divisions.

Does anyone know any authorities (CFR)  that permit a Federal agency to block a citizens email?

Post the documentation or it didn't happen.  Your delousion is encroaching on my world.
You have no civil liberty rights to e-mail people.  Its not in the constitution, They were ahead of their time when they wrote it but not that far ahead or it would be in a PDF document not paper.

You have not proven that you have any rights that have been violated.  Prove that first, or quit with this craziness.

What happened to the 3 or 4 pages of postings between 7/31 and 8/9? The thread was entertaining in a car crash kind of way and I was wondering if the official reason for blocking would ever be revealed.

That was in a different topic area, I think - looks like she started all over.

EDIT - how weird, the other post is still there:  http://federalsoup.com/f...itle=agency-blocks-email

and I just noticed this one has the same date.  Maybe the admins copied it to a more appropriate forum?

The original posting is still out in the forum. I think this is an orphan posting that somehow got created.

If you are interfering with the normal/routine operations of the agency by sending numerous unwanted emails, you are in violation of law and should be concerned about that,  if that is the case.   Have you been informed that you are no longer to send emails?

Just like many of us have a means of blocking unwanted email in our personal email accounts, so does the U.S. Gov't.  You don't have an inherent right to send whatever you want through email and have it delivered.

Here is a better question do you know a (CFR) that says you have a right to e-mail people?

Unsolicited e-mail is considered SPAM and yes every federal agency has the right to block spam.

Some DoD agencies only accept e-mail from .gov and .mil addresses.  so if its from a .com it goes in the trash.

And I repeat Post the documentation that shows your being blocked.  or take your illusion to another plain.....

The initial poster has a history of posting purported violations of his/her civil rights and alleged abuses by management, and then goes silent on the subject leaving members at a loss on what actually happened.  Check her postings under Find Member Posts.

I know since the day they brought the good old Zenith computers into the office - that they were the property of the US government - - and as the rule is today - never type what you don't want to be seen around the world.  Why are they blocking your e-mails - - for me, when they had Netscape - and I was told I could use it when people were going on travel - I got a slap on my hand - not for what I was typing - but the time on the computer - - after many years and seen many IT situations - it appears to be not as much as what was being e-mailed but the time it took from your government responsibilities and that which you were being paid for

I had an old Zenith laptop. It was a nice machine. Software and OS were hardwired in on chips (PROMS I believe), which made it quite speedy.

From day one we were always taught that e-maiing on a government computer on government time - was a no no - the government is gettinig short changed - we could do limited at lunch - but NONE on government time - I have seen one contractor use a government computer for his personal business he had - one man lost his job due to soft porn. - the computer histories are almost like a DNA  - but I have seen it most detrimental when people are misuing government time. As for blocking I do not know - however there was a major virus which Consumer Report showed - and affected my computer - reportedly people were being asked to send in money to get their virus repaired - and they were pulling in the money  -

One very important factor is not what is being e-mailed but I have been called to review
how much time a person has been on their computer - taking away from their government pay check time - - I have seen one man who felt it was his right to use his government computer for his own e-mail - I have seen one brilliant man out at a remote site being fired for viewing porno  - but the most important thing as I mentioned before - they can tell every minute you are on your computer and what site - and  I saw the TIME that people are away from doing their government work the biggest problem - it is the governments right to get a $1.00's worth of work for a $1.00 paid - -
