I recently applied for an entry-level position on the DIA hiring website. When I go in to check on my application status, it had the position I applied for as "entry-level" but it has now changed to an actual position. What does this mean? My status is still "active" but I never applied for this particular position. With the entry-level app, you just select which areas you are interested in. The position is definitely located in my area of interest but I'm confused why they have already selected which position I'm applying for. Any help on this?

Mine changed too, it says something about terrorism analyst. Not sure if it means anything, I've applied to them a few times and nothings come of it so far.

I'm kind of wondering if they are cycling through each of the jobs they have entry level positions available for and comparing resumes but that seems like an awful lot of work.

I would say it's just a computer glitch. Gov agency job websites are notorious for still saying "Application under review" six months after a person has already started. LOL

I applied to the DIA entry level program for the job announcement that closed on May 31, 2011.  Did any of ya'll hear back from them, such as referred to a hiring official, etc. ?

I also applied for the entry level program that closes at the end of June 2011 as well.  Did ya'll apply to this announcement, too?

I am not holding my breath though in hoping to hear back from them soon.  Thumbs Up

I just got a referral notice for this position (I applied months ago, for the announcement that closed in March I think).  Any idea if they have reopened recruiting for entry level spots?  Or hosting a recruiting event soon?  Just curious why I'm getting referred so long after the posting closed.

Who knows. Be grateful you got referred. But then again being referred means nothing till you get an official phone call saying they want to process you for a clearance.

I applied back in June and I've received several (4 or so) emails telling me that my application is being reviewed.  its the same generic email and I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing

Yes I have received he same emails. About three weeks ago, I am guessing that it will take around 2-3 months after the email to hear back from them.

^I've been getting these emails, too.  At least 2 or 3 times a week for the past couple of weeks.  Maybe they are pulling old applications/resumes to consider for new positions.
