I also took the assessment for this position and have not received any results yet.

Have you tried contacting someone about your status?

I did not apply but I am curious - what kind of an assessment are you talking about?

A 3-4 hour online assessment: Reasoning, judgement, interaction, and reading.  Results were due out last week so I heard.  I took mine on 05/18 and received a follow-up survey about the assessment because it was a pilot assessment.

I applied for the same position and just contacted OPM this morning for a status.  I was told there was a glitch in the system concerning the data (probably the pilot assessment) and it would be another week or two before results are sent out.  Hopefully this won't affect the results and skew any referral data or scores.

I believe it will..don't understand a glitch..how I call. Last week and everything okay n results 2 be out this week, now a glitch...something is going on, I believe good scores and they don't want to hire the right people...now they will probably repost the job W/out the assessment or just go by the applicants resume. We'll see

You may be right.  From my experince in submitting applications with HHS, something has always happened during the process.  The last job I applied to was only open for a week, closed, and reposted.    I was rated Best Qualified for that position, only to find out 4-5 months later that only veterans were on the cert to be referred.  Numerous calls were made and sometimes I got conflicting information from different HR reps about my status.  I'm just like everyone one else....want to get plugged into the fed system.  But I will say this, don't hold your breath when it comes to HHS. They rarely update your status in application manager.   A referral doesn't mean anything without a job offer, so I'm hoping this "glitch" won't sabotage a lot of best qualifed applicants.

I also have a few glitches while taking the assesment.  The helpdesk had to be contacted 3 times and I had to follow up with the HR contact just to make sure all of my answers were submitted and recorded.  The initial link to the assessment didn't work so they had to allow for a 48 hour extension due to this glitch.

I wouldn't be surprised.  It won't be the first time it's happened.  Just continue to look for other jobs, both private and fed, just in case.

FYI:  For those that may have applied for this position, I checked again this morning for the status of my application.  Now it will be another 3-4 weeks before anyone is notified of the results.  The HR rep I spoke with didn't sound like she was up for discussing reasons why.  Very typical.

I get the feeling that more people qualified or possibly vets scored lower...um...my thoughts.  I really don't think they are going to pass a lot of people. something sounds fishy....it has already been almost 6 weeks now another month...the assessment was ran through a company and its either you got the answers right or wrong.  I really think I past and if I get a bad score, I would like to be given reasons why and my scores per assessment....

Interesting Lavee, after I completed the assessment my status immediately changed to Awaiting Results.  When I checked it today the status now just says complete.  Are you viewing your status in Application Manager? Did you have any problems completing the assessment?

lol Health and human services has a HORRIBLE rating when it comes to hiring Vets.  in FY2010 only 6.2% of the total HHS workforce were Veterans.  In 2010 only 5.2% of their new hires were Veterans.

So, you can blame it what ever you like, but it isn't Veterans that are getting the jobs thats for sure.
