Did anyone else apply to announcements DE-12-CHI-EBSA-0045 (Fort Wright, KY) or DE-12-ATL-EBSA-037 (Atlanta/Miami)?  Curious if anyone has gotten a response.  Thanks.

I applied for the Atl/Miami, nothing as of yet other than the updates via USAJOBS.

I applied too, but not really looking forward to it.  DOL is more like VA, all you get is the rejection letter!

I was referred for Fort Wright a while ago. Not getting my hopes up. So far, referred just means they let me wait a little longer for my rejection notice...

I received an email from someone in Human Resources saying that my application has been received and is being reviewed.  My status on usajobs.gov still says reviewing applications. (I applied for the Atl/Miami position).  I figured there would be some hope for this position given that there were "MANY vacancies" for the posting.. who knows...

I also received that e-mail referring to my Vet status and that they were reviewing applications.

Hello all,

I contacted the HR specialist for this announcememnt in Atlanta.  Called about 50 times over a few weeks, never an answer.  Finally sent an email and got the following response:

"We are in the process of rating the applications.  There are 3 positions in Atlanta and 5 positions in Miami."

So much for the announcemnt having "many vacancies."  Won't be holding my breath for this oneCry

P.S. The positons to be filled are for both announcments, the Investigator and Auditor announcements.

I have been in touch with the contacts.  Here's what I heard this earlier this week:
Re: DE-12-CHI-EBSA-0045 (Fort Wright, KY)

"They have until May 2, 2012 to make a selection."  Previously, they told me April 2, 2012 was the deadline.  I guess they can get 30 day extensions?  I don't know too much about the internal selection process.

Re: DE-12-ATL-EBSA-037 (Atlanta/Miami)

"there will be an update no later than wednesday of this week".  Meaning yesterday.  I didn't get any update, and my application status is unchanged.  Two weeks ago, they said "we are still in therating process and we are trying to get the status out on this week."

The contacts are good about responding promptly to requests for updates.  There is obviously an information disconnect somewhere.  I'm guess they are just relaying what the higher-ups tell them.

Just checked about 1 minute ago on USAJOBS and my status still says "reviewing applications."  With the small amount of open positions for more multiple locations, almost positive they will be filled by internals or VET pref.  Such is life........on to my 1,000th federal job application, just may get lucky before the year 2020!

@shotaway, there is definitely a disconnect.  I was told 3 weeks ago that ratings were being sent out then.

I wasn't selected for Fort Wright.  They said a selection still hasn't been made for ATL/Miami.  Has anyone else heard anything?

Just an update on what's happening here in Chicago.  The day after I applied for this position, I received an email saying I wasn't selected.  I sent an email to HR asking about the quick status and they said they only were reviewing vets.  A few weeks later, I received an email saying the announcement was cancelled.

I just received another announcement for five openings at the GS 11 level.  I'm not sure if vets get pref at a GS 11?
