Hello all! :)

I was referred along with 95 other candidates on a non-competitive referral list, for a GS-14 position with the Forest Service.

Does anyone have any guidance on how a selection is made from a non-competitive referral list?

Can the selecting official select any person from the list to fill the vacancy, or do they have to rank the candidates by preference status (disabled vets, vets, etc...) or by KSA's? There are 2 vacancies. Would that make any difference in the selection process?

I'm a 30% + disabled vet and a current GS employee.

 Thanks! :)
