So our small that just got a CCA after the training, worked 2 days, did quit after finishing the route the second day.

The arbitrator DAS should apply for a CCA position and suffer a little, for the money, the job, and the stupid management style of the 70's it'aint worth it specially if you work in a small office, no guarantee of days off just make the CCA stinks.

USPS won't have a problem hiring more people train them and not keep them, because we all know how USPS treat their employees.

I believe that's for TE's that are becoming CCA's. It's their first day tomorrow because they're using Sunday as their 1 day break in service.

Sad time for USPS, with the obvious higher rate of turnover for the CCA's, quality of service is going to go down the tubes. Once they realize that the path to being a career is non-existent, many will not think it's worth it for $15/hr or won't care about things being done properly if he/she does stay.Michigan TE2013-02-24 07:47:32

So the new CCAs (that are fresh off the street) are getting $15.00 an hour now?

Well, i doubt that many of the CCA's that resign will be of the former TE caliber, since TE's already know what they're doing and what to expect.

That being the case, and since "One man's fortune is another man's misfortune", wouldn't a large turnover rate benefit all those that stay, or didn't score high enough on the test for IMMEDIATE consideration?

After all, the test scores (thus the list) is valid for SIX YEARS.

I mean, who cares if your 4th in standing in your office now, if in a couple of months your THE ONLY ONE left standing????

Yep, $15/hour for a CCA with no previous TE experience, $16.25 for those who were previously TE's. The contract does say this wage can be raised if mutually agreed upon in order to recruit and retain CCA's.

I mean NOW though...I thought new carriers hired NOW are still getting $22.15 an hour. Those new wages don't come in until April 19th.....

No only current te's who come back as cca's get the 22.15$, until april 10(ish?) New hires are screwed right off the bat, an rca makes more an hour and there is much less physical strain on your body.CCAhopeful2013-02-24 08:15:11

The reason I thought new hires that were hired in the past few weeks get $22.15 an hour is because they applied under TE postings.

our PM says that our installation is allowed 50 CCA's
not one of us current TEs that have applied, taken the test and are listed as Hiring List have been contacted yet.
I could carry a route in your station.. Do you think you could carry one in mine?

most of us have taken the test and the only thing management had us do was to sign our applications. Then we were informed that was our interview. class for new cca's starts tomorrow. No one has told us anything about when we will start as cca's
