Recieved my NOR for Miami and Chicago -- IEL despite being eligible because they didn't receive my SF-50 for one, and because I answered the TIG question incorrectly in the other. Extremely frustrating since I should have been eligible for both. I'd rather be rejected because I don't get the job, not because of this logistical stuff.

I just received a Notice of Results for the Miami Opening. That was pretty quick. I didnt receive a referral though. Although, I never received a referral for the January postings, but I still got an interview so you never know. Has anyone heard anything from the Miami posting?

It could be that the selecting official ran through the list of best qualified and didn't find what they were looking for and asked to see the well qualified list. They wouldn't necessarily send out referral notice in a case like that since the well qualified list isn't used ordinarily.

For those who are interested, the public job opening notice for the Houston AO positions will open on Monday and close on the 28th. Not much time to get your application in.

It is only for 9 and 11 - don't know why that is.

Majun,

Thanks for the heads up.
The job posting says "many vacancies..." Yay~!!!

I have a question; Is there any advantage to applying early?

Thanks.

Is it safe to assume that, if you didn't get referred to the selection committee within a couple of days upon receiving the NORs, you did not get referred?

Thanks.

I'm not sure how it all works, but I got referred for Miami and Chicago and actually received the referrals a few minutes before the NORs. That could mean that the two usually come close together, or that the system is just wacky sometimes. I never lose hope until the little "sorry but we hired someone else" message arrives. :) Good luck to everyone applying!

Marysol, have you gotten an interview yet? Or any correspondence since the referral notice? I got a referral notice for Miami as well. No further correspondence.
