I know it does not mean much, but I was referred to an Intel Analyst job at the Treasury Department. Does anyone know, from previous experience at this place, if they are quick in letting you know if you are going to be interviewed or not? Thanks.

What grade applied to? Mine took approx. a month but I think that was because I already had a security clearance and applied for GS-14.
I heard from my current boss after start working that the Department is seeking SMEs from private contractors equivalent of 12 and below.

I applied to a GS-12/13, but was referred to only the GS-12. Right now I am an equivalent to a GS-13. I already got a clearance where I am at now...so that is probably what helped me get referred is my guess. Thanks for the other info to.

Hang in there. Will take a considerable amount of time for any GSs to get in below management level now. I detailed to budget/grants after 8 months in the intelligence ops but you are stuck with same financial SNAFU!

Well I'll be waiting for them to call, and keeping my fingers crossed.

Recently, I was referred on two announcements. I had a telephone interview and then treasury flew me out to do a second in-person interview. I guess I bombed the interview. I was not selected. It really broke my heart. I don't get many opportunities to begin with. But a position like this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.

Whoa, I've gone and resurrected this one..

Anyways, I was recently referred to a management position; any idea how long it generally takes from referral to first human contact? Just curious. Thanks!
