Environmental Protection Agency
EPA was established in 1970 to consolidate in one agency a variety of federal research, monitoring, standard-setting and enforcement activities to ensure environmental protection. Since its inception, EPA has been working for a cleaner, healthier environment for the American people.

Greetings!
I will be starting at EPA soon (at the Reagan Building in Washington, DC) and was wondering if anyone working at EPA could give me an idea of what it's like........the work culture, office space, the opportunities, how SESers treat lower level employees, places to go during lunch, etc. Any insight anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

It's like any other federal agency. It all depends on where your office is, how it fits in the org chart, your level, function, etc., etc. It's not one of the best to work for and certainly not one of the worst.
Just remember that the EPA tends to get knee deep in solid waste :-).
