Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Quick question(s): Do they notify you when your BI is adjudicated? Also, in your experience, how long does the "field work" part of the BI *typically* take?

jt, I don't know much about the process, but looking at this site going back awhile, it was taking a long time in the past. Many of those who got invites to the May class were apparently offered interim clearances to get them into the academy quicker. It looks like many of those were done in 6 months or so. I did not get that invite and am currently in the BI process as well. What does that mean for the next group? I'm not sure. I'm hoping the rest of us 2015 applicants can get into the next class but I don't know if BI's are being processed any faster than before, or if it's the same timeframe that the previous classes had.

I'd say the field work part of it depends on how many investigators you require. My investigator got to me quickly, and one reference was contacted even before that, but my references in other states still have not been interviewed. That goes to a different person who will make time to meet with those people. If you have lived in the same area for the last 10 years, it might be easy and quick. If you have moved from state to state, there is no telling how long it could be.

I don't know about being notified once it has been adjudicated. I was just going to wait until my references were contacted and possibly follow up after that.

This forum has died since that group went to academy, so I tried to give you any info or ideas that I have. Wish I knew more lol
