I called today to follow-up on my drug test and unfortunately the only person who they (the company contracted for testing) is authorized to speak to on the results/status is the company requesting the test.

I'll see if I can follow-up with the company based on the receipt I was provided.

Hi,

Anyone have experience with selection of preference locations and being married to military member? Thanks.

Oh man that's awesome! Congrats to you! Did you do in person or over the phone? I bet it went smoothly.

In person. Dude was a machine, lol, we were done in less than 40 minutes and I have an extensive military/contacts/work experience background. He rocked a shnazzy blue suit too. Got to appreciate the ensemble. 😂

Sounds like the main agent that processed my panel. Wore a plaid, brown and paisley suit with a bowler cap. Very by the book, but personalable outside of the interview. Stuff I truly appreciate.

The more I hear from others, the more it just solidifies the desire for the career in my book.

8/2018 applicant here, last week I got an email requesting references to start the process for an interim clearance. From the looks of other folks in years past, this may mean nothing, I see some timelines that start with the full BI and then the interim, and vice versa. Either way, I'm encouraged, even though it meant an awkward conversation with my employer. Good luck to everyone!

So, I was tentatively disqualified due to my physical. I am doing it again through my own doctor this week. I was taking a supplement that showed to have adverse reactions, so I stopped over a month ago.

Has anyone had any experience with this? When I get my new tests resubmitted, will the process resume smoothly and will I be able to catch up with the others of the 08/2018 applicant pool?

Thanks.

No experience with DI hiring with it, but I got flagged for 1811 with HSI for abnormal ekg years back when I went through process. They sent me to own cardio who had run tests sign off. My packet went back to medical board who approved. Downside is you probably won't catch up entirely with your group but may fall a class or two behind. I fell a class behind back in the day due to the medical delay. It all depends how fast they move on it.

Yes, I, too, was tentatively disqualified due to cardiac diagnosis. Needed letter from my cardiologist stating I could perform duties of DI, (which was submitted last week). All is good, was informed I passed my medical!! 😁
Now, I am waiting to find out if drug test results have been received.
Patience...🙏
Good luck!

Medical and drug passed. Now BI.
Can anyone tell me if interview is held at my home or someplace else? Just curious.

Usually someplace else. I've done them at public libraries and at an OPM office.

Usually in a federal meeting place. My last BI was done in the local OPM office, the one prior to that was at a library.

Nice and quite convenient! Do the reference calls go before or after the BI interview?

Depends on how many investigators are involved, but usually after and not all will be called. Bring your address book of contacts to the interview.
