I'm interested in applying to the PMF program for the 2017 cycle and am wondering how frequently this program is used to hire statisticians within the agency. I just applied for a 1530 Statistician position within the agency but feel like my chances are slim since it's a GS-12 position. I was a pathways intern at the GS-9 level at a different agency for a year but made the jump to academia and have regretted it ever since. Does the dept of ed bring in a lot of people through the PMF program? Any inside information would be much appreciated!!
