Social Security Administration

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is an independent agency of the United States federal government that administers Social Security, a social insurance program consisting of retirement, disability, and survivors' benefits. To qualify for these benefits, most American workers pay Social Security taxes on their earnings; future benefits are based on the employees' contributions. (Source: Wikipedia)

Has to be a good sign, right?

Thx Dog, I applied for the two announcement in AL and yesterday they had another announcement that was opened for a few hours (first 100) for MD.

Since you are already part of the SSA can you elaborate a little more on the hiring process (background check, how long did u wait, any medical??)and on the training (duration, location). Thanks

Nela, do you happen to know the title of the job that was open for a few hours yesterday in MD?

If I'm not mistaken I believe it was for Social Insurance Specialist (Claims Specialist)

Thank you.
