good morning all, I was wondering if anyone could assist me with the non-bargaining pay scale / growth within the IRS. Presently there is a position for an Admin Asst. III which is non-bargaining 0303-03/03. So the title job description is the 0303, however what is the 03/03?? just the pay scale. I am currently a GS0501-9, ITAS for grade 9. Would this position be a drop in pay or equal?

Thank in advance.

GS-0501-9 means you are in the 0501 Accounting series, at a GS-9 level. GS-0303-03/03 means the 0303 series of "Miscellaneous Clerk and Assistant," at a GS-03 level, with no promotion potential (the /03 at the end). From a 9 to a 3 is a huge drop in pay. You can look at the pay scales by finding your Locality on the OPM GS Pay Tables at: https://www.opm.gov/poli...s/2017/general-schedule/

You can view the 0303 occupational series at: https://www.opm.gov/poli...tandards/0300/gs0303.pdf
