A CCA is only guaranteed 2 hrs or 4 hrs of work (depending on your office size). A Hold does not guarantee a CCA 8 hrs of work.

the opt guarantees however long it takes them on that route that day up to 8 hours. If today it only takes 6.5 hours then that's all they are guaranteed.

Unless a FTR has downtime and there is no work elsewhere to fill their 8 hours it can be taken from a CCA on a hold down.

Conversions are done by relative standing, so you will convert before the other guy. However, a retirement does not guarantee a conversion, and it's also unlikely you would get that particular route.

Just what I said. For example:

1. They could take a transfer instead, subject to the 4/1 or 6/1 ratios.
2. They could make an adjustment and cut a route.
3. If there is already an unassigned regular, there might not be a new opening

Preach it brother

Years ago I was all excited

thinking I was going to be made

regular.

Then the usps started excessing carriers.

Two months before the carrier I was

counting on replacing retired.

Took me four more years to make it.

<g>
Question authority.

When if ever was the last time they accepted a transfer? If they have never excepted a transfer they could take one before they convert anyone. Then again there maybe no one on the transfer list. You do nothing to get converted, it happens when it happens

They mean read the contract and other documents instead of listening to randoms. I've heard so much bs about what the contract supposedly says and I'm only on my second year.

people say lots of things they no nothing about or just talk a bunch of bs. Unless you read the contract yourself do not believe everything you 'heard'.
