Hello everyone,

I'm an Oct-Nov 2016 Applicant for the JOA#DEAH20217 GS-09. I took the proctored test on 022017, and I'm now waiting to hear if I made it to Phase IV. How many of you have applied in 2016?Has anybody taken the proctored test recently? or have any of the Oct-Noc 2016 applicants heard anything yet on Phase IV?.

One more question, does anybody know how is the proctored test graded? Thanks in advance for all the info, and good luck to everyone!

Hello,

For information of when interviews will be "more or less" taking place, you can go back to the job announcement you originally applied to. The announcement usually lists a "target" month for interviews to start. It is usually about a month or two from the time the proctored tests are given, but things can change in this process. Sometimes it takes less time, and most times it takes longer. Patience and a positive attitude through this process helps a lot. Also, keep up with this forum if the waiting makes you "crazy". You can see the progress of others that applied, both before you and after, and you will most likely "see" when things start happening to others with a similar timeline as yours.

Notification for the interview comes through a phone call and/or email -- in my case I received both.

@cocos - I don't know how the proctored test is graded and I doubt that you will find that information readily available. We are not given a score when we are notified of the interview. You either pass or not.

I believe the few 2014 applicants that were left are in the academy as we speak. That's a 3yr wait. I am a 2015 applicant and praying, crossing my fingers, and doing a rain dance to get into a class this year. ;) You guys applied a few months ago and there is already another set of applicants that finished applying this last weekend. Things seem to be moving a little faster than before. That is hopeful news for all of us!! There is plenty of information on this forum that will help you, not only as FYI but also to kill time in the "nothing but crickets" periods.

Welcome to this craziness... for what I've been told it is all worth it in the end!! :-)

Nov 16 applicant here as well. Looking at a previous posting from a 2015 prospect in the other forum, they posted their timeline from start to finish. Thy got the interview notification 6 weeks after the closing of the assessments. So I would assume we could expect a call the first or second week of April, if they are on the same track. I look forward to going on this journey with all the other 2016 applicants. Knowing they are still putting announcements out there makes me hopeful our chances are good and hopefully quicker than done in the past. Good luck all!

Sorry all! I posted the other day on the other Diversion thread that the recruiters would soon be getting their lists of candidates to interview. I should have posted it on this thread also. Expect calls this week and into next week to schedule your interview. Not sure how many will get the call. So it could go into the month of April depending on how many need to be interviewed.

Please keep in mind that the recruiter's job is a collateral duty and the DI doing that job has to work it in and around his/her case work. He/she also has to request the assistance of other DIs in the Division to sit on panels. Some of those DIs may have to come in from outer offices which could mean an overnight trip. So please, if you accept an invitation to interview do your best to keep the appointment. Its difficult having to seat a panel and reschedule interviews.

You wouldn't believe how many candidates accept an appointment for an interview and then just don't show up. Or how many show up late AND expect to be interviewed. Not a good first impression.

All of you seem motivated about this career. If you get the chance to interview, don't blow it.

Good luck to all.

I still haven't heard anything, I contacted the e-mail provided in the job announcement earlier this morning, asking for a poc/phone number to find out if I had passed the proctored test, they responded within the hour stating that they still hadn't received the test results. I live 2 hours from Atlanta, and Im starting to think that maybe some geographic locations got the results earlier than others;-( I wish they call me SOON!

I also have not gotten a call for an interview but based on GearUp's post, it's pretty standard for the process. A little concerning about the results not being in, unless they don't really get the results at that office. Hopefully the rest of us hear something by next week. These posts are awesome but also cause a lot of anxiety when someone moves along the process and you don't yet. Lol

AZ,

Do you know if your proctored assessments show up as complete in your USAJobs packet for this announcement? Some us don't have it showing complete and an email from recruiting said they don't have the results. I did not know if that even meant anything and everyone was on their own schedule or if something could be wrong.

My USA jobs status says "Recieved".... I don't know where to check the proctored assessments. If you took the assessment, I don't see how they could not have received your results.

Me neither but this whole process seems like a mental roller coaster ride. Lol. If you click on the position title, it will let you back into the application manager to see what documents or other things are in your file. There is one called "external assessment" or something like that. Will not sweat for now. GearUp did say next week is possible and you just got yours today. I did take the assessment towards the deadline so that may impact things as well. Thanks though.

External assessment is the non-proctored assessment that you took.. They had to have received that or you would not have been chosen to take the proctored assessment.

Hi guys,

I want to share my experience in this process with you so that you don't stress that much.

-@gpdmr136 - Don't rely on USAJOBS for the status updates. I am really surprised to hear you say some people already have their external/proctored assessment showing up as complete. I took my proctored test Feb 2016 and it got updated in USAJOBS on Sept 2016 - saying it was completed that same month! I am sharing my actual timeline and what USAJOBS shows as of right now so you can compare. Like GearUp has said before, have a lot of patience. To end with some phrases you will see in this forum "ad nauseam" ---> This is a marathon, not a sprint...& no news is good news. :-)

-@ everyone that has gotten notice that DEA has not received your results - the proctored tests are graded by a contractor (at least they were when I went through this process). They take a little while to grade because of the written component. I am sure that you will see here another batch of interviews being scheduled when the next list of top people that passed the test is received.

In my experience, the DEA emails/calls and this forum were the only accurate information as far as movement in the system of my application and others. USAJOBS was always way behind. For my example, see below. Also, not all dates you are told or see on emails from DEA are set on stone. At my interview I was notified that they were trying to get a class filled for July 2016, so things were getting accelerated. That class was later cancelled. I called HR a month after my interview to know my status. They said I had passed and would hear something within a month. I didn't hear anything from DEA until Sept 2016. Then an October class came and went and then this last January 2017 class. As you can see, my process was not done for any of those past two classes, even though I was told at interview that they were trying to get us in to the July class!! And even now that I am just waiting for the phone call invitation to class #48, there is still a chance that I may not get the call and have to wait for class #49. I've seen it happen right here in the forum. If you get antsy and need information, I would say go back and read through the pages on this forum and even the old forum under the Intelligence Agencies section. They have a lot of information, and are a very good way to get knowledge without going crazy about where your app is at the moment.

My Timeline:

Phase I/II (app and online test): Nov 2015
Phase III (proctored test): Feb 2016
Phase IV (interview): April 2016
--> I called the HR# on the app in May 2016 and asked about my status. Was told that I had passed the interview and was referred for hiring panel. That I would hear something within 2 to 4 weeks.
Drug Questionnaire: Sept 2016
COE: Oct 2016
On-boarding papework: Oct 2016
Medical update: Dec 2016
eQuip: Jan 2017
"Accelerated" email: Feb 2017
Interim Clearance: Mar 2017
Preference sheet: Mar 2017
sf86c: Mar 2017

What USAJOBS shows:

Status: Referred (changed from Received in Sept 2016)
Assessment Questionnaire: Nov 2015
External Assessment (proctored): Sept 2016
Referral Letter: Sept 2016

I hope this helps curb a little bit any anxiety this process may cause!! ;-)
