Environmental Protection Agency
EPA was established in 1970 to consolidate in one agency a variety of federal research, monitoring, standard-setting and enforcement activities to ensure environmental protection. Since its inception, EPA has been working for a cleaner, healthier environment for the American people.

Does anyone know if the EPA is planning on continuing the hiring freeze now that the budget for the remainder of 2017 has been released? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have not heard either way with regard to the EPA. But given the rather large cuts the EPA is facing, I can't picture they'd want to add very many, if any at all. I suspect there won't be enough buyouts, normal retirements, and outbound transfers to actually create a staffing deficit.
It's too bad really, because for me I think it would have been cool to be a Contract Specialist or Management Analyst there.
But realistically, I would be surprised if the EPA is going to get anyone new for awhile. |

I'm being interviewed by a federal contractor for a position at EPA, what are the chances of me actually keeping my job should I be offered one?
