To qualify for these benefits, most American workers pay Social Security taxes on their earnings; future benefits are based on the employees' contributions. (Source: Wikipedia)

OPM regulations prohibit agencies from doing fingerprints prior to a tentative job offer.

Yes I am and the regulations changed this spring, so anything prior to that on this forum should be ignored.

Do they still do mock calls during the interviews? Also someone told me there was a math test involved? Is this true?

I guess it depends on the position u apply for. In my case it was just typical interview question and no math test.

I had my interview last week, no mock calls it was just regular panel interview some one asks while the other person writes and then they switch. They called my manager the next day. I am hoping that's good news now I am just impatiently waiting for a response lolol.

I work at the tele service center in Jamaica, NY as a CSR this is my 4th year and I was told by my Supervisor there will be a class starting on Sept 18th. There was another opening for CSR on usajobs from 8/29 and closed today. So there will be hiring after the 18th as well.

I got my call about a week ago too. My tentative date was the 11th, but nothing is finalized so I am assuming I will start after that. I am in Maryland.
