Hey I heard back from HR and they said it was in regards to your supervisor and not yourself!

It seems to be a common confusion so I am sure they will remedy it for us! Oops...guess I need to reach out as well. As it is, the last three supervisors I had are all active... My HR just replied and told me it was in reference to the supervisor. 🤷♂️

Someone at HR is probably facepalming right now about applicants on Federal Soup :o)

Ok so HR just emailed me back and said the boxes were meant for the status of your supervisor. Weird that we’re hearing different things from HR!

To add on to the confusion, I was told I filled the form out correctly, that it referred to myself. NOT the supervisor. I am sure it isn’t a make or break detail, l since there’s so much conflicting info. But hope for the best!

My references were contacted for the interim clearance; so more movement. Still hanging on hope for the next class.

Once they started contacting my supervisors at my current job it became clear that I couldn’t stay, so I’m hoping that the April class works out. Also, does anyone know if I start a new job (contract part time) now until the new class starts, do I need to disclose this to HR so they can include in my background check?

It wouldn't hurt to notify HR. But if your file is already with the BI investigator then HR might not be able to amend it. But make sure you notify the investigator conducting your BI when he/she interviews you. But it wouldn't hurt at all to let HR know. At least then your covered and they can't say you failed to disclose. Make sure you get names of who you talk to and log dates and times. Also keep e-mails/texts/letters you sent to or received from HR. I recommend that anyone mailing documents to HR by snail mail do registered, return receipt. Also, keep tracking info if you send it FedEx or UPS.

After all this work, I don’t want to do anything that might jeopardize my chances of coming on board! Thanks for the information, as always GearUp!

I received an email from the NBIB (National Background Investigation Bureau) about my BI. They just need to know who to assign it to for my interview...the rep I spoke with said they've wrapped up everything else already.

You may want to give HR a ring, they should be able to give a definitive answer on your exam score this far along. Most of us here called in and got our test results that way I believe
