Correct me if I am wrong....

I am looking at a CL-25 position and the range is from 44,971 to 73,128.

I see there is a developmental range and a full performance range.

In the developmental range you get a 2-step increase every 6 months (so 1 step every 3 months? or you literally go up 2 steps in 6 months?)

In the full performance range you get a 1-step increase every year (much like the GS scale?)

Are these step increases automatic like GS? Or is it performance-based like the Acquisition Demonstration / broad band systems?

The Court Personnel System (CPS) is used only by the federal court system. It is a pay plan established by the federal court system for employee's of the federal courts (district, bankruptcy and appellate courts).

The DOJ has no authority over the CPS system.

Because it is administered by the federal court system -- you must contact an HR Office within the federal court system for further clarification on how the pay plan is administered.
