Cringing for myself even asking this....

In the Job Announcement: ""We expect to make a final job offer within 30 days after the deadline for applications."

Is it too pushy to reach out to Agency Contact listed in the job announcement if there has been no change in the status on USAjobs 30+ days out?

This particular announcement has a specific number of vacancies they are filling, so wondering if requesting current status is TOO annoying.

Thanks in advance!

You can if you want, but I have a feeling they won't reply.

Did you do an interview for that position?

If you did, you will have a better chance of getting some information from the person/people who interviewed you.

Because, I think agency contact list is their HR.

Our HR is very short staffed and they never replies to our emails (pretty sure other agencies are the same). I usually need to visit them in person to get answers.

I know it is very frustrating but when applying for federal jobs, just apply and forget and keep applying (I applied over 300 positions before I got this position).

Good luck.

Hang tight.

I don't usually get my *first* correspondence from the application until about 30 days after close. This is regarding whether its being reviewed, or whether I was referred or not.
