First time poster here,

I applied to position in early March. I applied a couple years back and at that time I got an email every 30 days telling me that they were still reviewing my application, until I finally got one that said dont call us we'll call you or something like that.

I have not heard anything this time and it has been over 30 days.

Does anyone know if they still send out those 30 day emails?

It used to be every month but now they send out every 6 months or in some cases they simply forgot.

Your best bet is to contact HR thru email. I hope this helps, gl.

Thanks. About a week after I applied I took an online assessment. I was unable to finish a couple of sections so I think that was a mark against me.

I applied for an analyst job in January 2018, and heard back in March 2018 about a phone pre-screen. It was extremely basic, but the recruiter said next is the interview. I'm still waiting for an interview date, but I'm confused as to why there is no testing? It seems a little unusual to go straight from a phone screen to the interview for an analyst position because I feel like there's some kind of aptitude testing at every agency for analysts...

I am glad to hear that because in the 2017 thread it seemed like the people who were contacted were contacted right away. Not that January to March isn't quick but it looked like first HR contact within a month.

I applied at Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) a couple years back and there was no test, but from what I read in those forums they now have one. I think I read that NGA has something. At this point I am concern that the online test did not help me at all.

What analyst position? I have an interview for an analyst position. From how it sounds, I will do an in-person interview, polygraph, and writing sample all as part of the "Operational Interview".

DIA does has a writing portion for analyst positions. This is a recently change in the last year or so.

It's for the "intelligence analyst" position they advertise. What is your timeline? Are you doing the interview, poly, and writing all on the same day? I mean that sounds like you'll get an offer on the spot if you are invited to the operational interview?

If you read the entire email they sent you and it is also on their website, not all jobs require testing, and not everyone gets the same tests either. it all depends on the job you are applying for, if it is a requirement for their screening purposes. I wouldn't worry or think negatively until you hear news specifically from HR. Good luck.

We'll see what happens. I was just concerned because several other people were contacted pretty fast and I have heard nothing.

Is it me or is there a lot of movement with the agency, including this channel?

Maybe they're just trying to keep up with all the hijinks over in the DIA forum :)

I haven't received a 30 day noticed in like 3 months now. I think once they get a hold of your file and start background check, they stop sending those. I do not know for sure but I am assuming this is the case because once I sent all my forms and confirmed info that's when the automatic 30-day emails stopped as well. I could be wrong.

Anyone know how long they usually take between operational interview(s) and reaching back out again? What's the general timeline?

Thanks!

Schedule interview date for next month email - 4/27

I didn't even have a phone interview.

Is it normal to get a CJO at the operational interview? I have coming up but they didn't tell me anything really...

I don't think its normal but my entire process was expedited. I received the security and HR forms before my interview and I had to bring them filled out.

I see a couple more posters saying they were contacted soon after applying. I am coming up on 60 days and nothing. Application status still says 'submitted.' Sometimes these application status indicators are not reliable. But I think it may be time to move on.

Now all we need is a FJO spree. I haven't seen anyone get a FJO this year on the forums yet.
