I have an interview soon. My question are...

1) if I get the position, am I regular from the start date, after I pass probation, or am I on a list like a PSE/MHA?

2) How soon after I'm hired can I take the 955 test and does there need to be a job offer posted first before I can take it and get my score in the system?

Thanks.

1. You will be a regular day one, albeit a "part time" regular.
2. Once you pass 90 day probationary period, as a regular you can take exam.

Sorry but nothing in the OP's first post supports that answer. If the OP is hired into a FTR custodial slot, he's full time immediately with a 40 hour guarantee. If the OP is hired into a PTR custodial slot, then he's part time on his first day. The job posting should give some idea of how many hours are anticipated, however as a PTR, there's at best a minimum guarantee. There's no guarantee that it won't be more hours than anticipated.

The job description is says 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Nothing says FTR or PTR in the job description.
