Just some advice given my experience: you absolutely can and SHOULD negotiate your final job offer GS and step level (within the 7/9 limits). They tried to offer me $10k less than I am worth based on my experience and degrees. Their second offer, after I stood up for myself, was even less. I got the HR person to take my case to Ms. Tamburrino. Please, please, please don't blindly accept what they first offer you - especially if you are a POC or a woman or other minoritized group. Talk to someone who has worked with the federal payscale before, or send me a DM. Know your worth. |

Those who were recently cleared-did you get the final job offer already or do they wait until you get a class date for quantico? I haven’t heard anything since I got the news I was cleared. Tentative August Q date.

I received an email from a do not reply address saying I've been selected for x position to begin on x date at x pay + DC locality. I sent my acceptance email as instructed, but have not gotten an official final offer or information about Q yet. I've read several posts from IA applicants who went to Q previously that that doesn't come until 2-3 weeks out, so I'm not too concerned yet.

So nothing since the conditional job offer or did you receive this after you got the clearance call?

Hi all! Does anyone know (or can anyone confirm) that IAs get availability pay? I read somewhere that IAs get availability pay on top of their salary and COL, but it wasn't from an agency site. I don't trust that this is correct, so I'm curious if anyone can answer that question?
Thanks!

But I received word that the classes only have 20 IAs at a time due to COVID and all 2021 classes are full. They are now scheduling the Dec/Jan 2022 classes. So. No Q this year if you haven't already gotten the invite I guess? :| I am on the roster for January (at least she did say that's what she put me down for), so if anyone else ends up in that class and just wants someone to connect with then feel free to shoot me a message. That date worked out to my benefit, so I am happy with it. I was told that invites go out about 6 weeks in advance (though I realize while that may be the intention, it doesn't always end up that way), and that the January class would begin mid-month. Every time I think about the fact that I was cleared, I feel like a kid at Christmas who got exactly what what was on the Christmas list! Since crime and intel analysis is something I've already done at the local LE level and have a passion for, I am so excited to move forward. A great big congratulations to all my fellow 2018ers who are coming up on training dates...it wasn't easy, but (at least for me) I feel it was worth the wait.

I’m still in limbo. I was told I had a new AC, and I’ve contacted them three times with no word. No updates on my online portal either. |

I am still in background! Approaching my year mark for my polygraph and my investigation officially started in August. I know that some of my contacts have been reached (mainly my more recent ones that are in my hometown). Last time I checked, I had a date change back in March.....
I'm buckled down for the long wait, especially since I've heard that the classes this year are already full. Maybe late 2022? Just want to be in before I'm thirty.... lol

Hi all, Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm part of the 2018 group. I finally had a date change last week, after not having had one since April 2020. Not getting my hopes up, of course, but it was refreshing to see a change after so long. Fingers crossed for those of us left to hear something soon! |

Sharing an update. Contacted my former AC and was informed I’d been adjudicated and am just waiting on a class date. No expectations of that being any time soon, but I’m just glad to have gotten through background. Not sure if my last date change on 3/3 was when I was technically adjudicated. |
