Yep, I applied. I don't have high hopes for it but I tossed my resume at them anyhow.

I also applied for the 2019 initiative but I chose the division I felt would fit best since I have a bachelors in Criminal Justice Hopefully we all get to hear some good news back.

I'm still trying to apply. Didn't find the information until recently. Hoping my transcript will reach me before the deadline (etranscript). I read through posts for 2017-2018 and they're still posting about not hearing back yet.

You still haven until the 14th but if it starts becoming like the 12th or 13th and you still haven't received it I might just go ahead and submit some unofficial ones at least they would have some kind of transcript from you. It's better than nothing

Did anybody have the problem where it would let them choose 6 field offices for your preferences but wouldn't let you choose all six divisions you wanted?

It didn't let me choose any divisions, just field office preferences. Wonder if that means I applied too late and everything was already taken?

Your not too late I talked to an HR lady and she said that happens when you choose field offices that are small.

The field offices don't have options for the most part--the headquarters locations have the compiled lists of specific branches like selecting Quantico shows the STEM options for the most part and Washington DC holds nearly everything else. I believe Alexandria, VA and Clarksburg, WV and maybe winchester, va were the other places with multiple branches. Hope that helps even if its a little late!

I applied back in September and waiting on pins and needles. How long do you guys reckon before they start sending interview invites? November? December?

Hi everyone!

I had applied for last years collegiate hiring initiative and I noticed that this years application, I am unable to select which career path I want to select. Did anyone else also experience this?

Last year you could choose what career path you wanted. I am looking to specialize in the STEM field more precisely the Digital Operations Specialist. However I think much of my work experience would benefit more from the Operational Support Technician which is something I really do not want to specialize in.

Please let me know if anyone here has experienced this. Thank you and good luck to everybody!

Like I said earlier, the only locations that allow you to choose specific offices/career paths are the Headquarters locations! So, Washington DC, Quantico VA, Clarksburg WV, and Alexandria VA. A lot of the STEM laboratory positions are in Quantico so I'd take a look there!

What makes you reapply, if you don't mind me asking. Did something happen the first go around or are you still waiting to hear back from last year and just decided to put in a new app?

wbee: I did not hear back at all from them. My application still says 'Under Review'. Also I did not submit my transcripts and my 'federal resume'. I did not read carefully lol... Anyways I would not have been able to work if I was selected since I graduated a bit more later. My anticipated grad date is May 2019 but I was aiming to graduate in May 2018. However I did not graduate in May 2018, I was able to graduate in August a few months ago.

All I saw was "Federal Resume". I didn't put my resume in any special format. I didn't even think about there being a preferred resume format. Ugh. Hope that wont automatically throw me out of the running. Hope you guys get some feedback this time around.

Hello everyone,

I checked the 2019 Honors Internship thread and people received emails/calls about interviews. That makes me wonder if anyone was contacted for the Collegiate Hiring Initiative. I applied on September 16 and it still shows the date I applied. Anyone received updates on the application?
thanks 2 users thanked Natie for this useful post.
