Congrats!

Did you have a phone and in-person interview? How much time in between interviews/TO?

Received a phone call today to schedule a telephone interview. Can anyone provide any interview tips? I currently work at another federal agency.

Just be yourself and be ready for situation type questions. If you remember the assessment, think about the types of questions they asked and how you answered.

Saw movement on the Pathways RO posting. The movement was a change of status from application reviewed to referred. Odd though since interviews for where there was a referral for me at least already took place.

Be confident, read up on the position. Realize what the role of an RO is, and how you would execute such role.

My status changed to referred a few weeks ago for the regular RO posting, but I haven't heard anything about an interview.

How many PODS did you apply to?

I got the letter while I was in training that the IRS wants to review my last two tax returns. I am assuming I just make copies of everything and mail them in. It says mail in on it but then it also says I have an appointment in Houston.

I live about 3 and a half or 4 hours away from Houston.

My pool guy for my rental house doesn’t send me a statement at the end of the year. I am wondering if I should ask him for some. I don’t know if he keeps records. I just guesstimate every year.

That’s a standard new employee audit.

I don’t know how you do it but my maid, pool guy and lawn guy are co tracked businesses that conduct fee for service. It’s their job to do their taxes and report income not mine.

Also you can call the tax compliance officer and you can most likely do it on the phone.

Also I recommend if you joined NTEU to ask for reapresentation.

Most of those TCOs don’t know the first thing about tax law.

When I go hires they tried to stick me with a 14k bill saying I made 45k on property I sold. I had to explain to them I made 1500 bucks which is exactly what I reported. The TCO says ‘oh yeah you’re right’.

HI NY area candidates
Just had my interview. Its similar to ROSA that external candidates took.
Having said that, they said that the decision will be communicated by end of July. So it seems that it a long process and there may be many candidates.
I asked them about if this interview will count toward other locations as well. They said it may but also said something like that you should have heard from NJ locations. Makes me think that NJ locations (paramus, Paterson) may be done with their recruitment.
Good luck and hope this helps.

If you applied to west palm beach FL and haven’t gotten an offer you aren’t getting one.

Found some unit training dates for the August 19th start date. Now take this with a grain of salt, but I heard September 16th-27th, October 28th - November 8th, three weeks in February and July 2020. Also, interviews are still going on for some eastern locations so good luck everyone!
