uhhhhhhh

so I was selected last week, filled out the onboarding forms, and now I'm waiting for a GSA email

anyway I just checked onboarding again for fun, and the screen is kind of different (it just looks like someone went through it and verified my forms.) But yeah, it now lists a "Duty Location", which is definitely not where my TO location was. What's this...?

Time to email HR?

Same here. My location is not correct. For now I am going to assume that this is means something else.

Interesting. What's the assigned "duty location"? Mine's Philadelphia. I can kind of understand the mistake, if it is a mistake. I'm emailing HR anyway in 2sec.

PMing you something pls respond~

The location duty is based off of the agency contact information listed for the announcement "Philadelphia, Pennsylvania".

Yeah, see I was thinking that too, but based on my TO location... I could see a high chance of error.

It's probably fine... still emailing HR tbh.

Good Morning Everyone! This is my first post on the forum, though I've been reading the forum for several months. I received my TO for Brooklyn, NY POD on July 3rd and finished filling out my forms the same night. I've received the same update where it lists Philadelphia as my duty location. This appears to be the location of the agency employment center performing the hiring process which was stated by someone earlier. Has anyone heard anything differently? Anyway, congratulations to everyone and hopefully we receive our FO's soon...

Everyone appears to be seeing Philadelphia right now so nothing to worry about there. Have you done your fingerprints yet?

Thank you for the feedback. No, I did not have to do the fingerprints, because I am a current IRS employee. The HR representative advised me that my fingerprints on file were sufficient. Did you get fingerprinted yet?

No, not yet. Still waiting on the email from the GSA. Most pathways candidates are currently waiting for that email.

There's a facebook group for those of us who are starting on August 19th if you'd like to join.

Thank you. I joined the Facebook page and another page that includes the earlier hires.

I hope everyone gets the GSA e-mail soon.

I was Referred for Employee Plans too. I got the Referred status change for Exempt Orgs last week I think.

I put this on the pathways thread but wanted to also check here...

Is there anything left to do once fingerprints are done?

I was a late TO (July 17th) for start date of 8/19 but then got my GSA email quickly (7/22) and completed them the 23rd. I want to make sure I have all my steps done and just need to wait for the FO.

I will be cutting it very close on putting in a 2 week notice and also have to find a new place to live since I'm relocating. I have told my employer but haven't given official notice yet. I am hoping that the FO is in by Monday when we go apartment hunting.

Has anyone gotten an FO yet? I haven't looked at the spreadsheet in a few days since we've been packing. Anyone have insight on if it's safe to give notice at work or put a deposit down on new place?

so I got an email saying training would be held in one of three cities one of them being my city Ogden, Utah. Are chances pretty good this is where I will train? I was hoping to go somewhere else for 5 weeks, but whatever happens, happens.

If you are local to one of the training sites, that's where you will train. They aren't going to send you elsewhere for five weeks when they can train you at "home" for "free."

Understandable. Do they pay for a hotel if you don't live close? I'm an hour away from training site.
