Internal Revenue Service

As a bureau of the Department of the Treasury and as one of the world's most efficient tax administrators, the IRS role is to help the large majority of compliant taxpayers with the tax law, while ensuring that the minority who are unwilling to comply pay their fair share. (Source: www.irs.gov)

Got an email notifying me that I passed Phase 2 today.

I believe the resume review part is next, which I expect to be my biggest hurdle. Hope to hear something soon.

It's been a while for me but all that stuff was handled just a few days before I started driving out. 7-10 days before reporting maybe.

Thanks. It felt weird giving my notice at work without a ticket to Georgia. But had to do it.

What was your time frame from medical to final offer? I am assuming your employer was never contacted prior?

Medical to offer was about 10 weeks. I had follow ups. They did not contact my employer yet (as far as I know)

Don't you have about 5 weeks till you leave. I'd be giving notice at two weeks out in that situation. For me, my employer knew all along for the few years I was in the process. They didn't give me a hard time. They even promoted me while I was in the process. But I understand not everyone can be open about this stuff.

Yeah I know what you mean. I told my boss a long time ago that I had started the process. He asked that as soon as I knew something certain that I tell him. We have a hard time recruiting new folks. So I told him as soon as I accepted the FO
