every single clerk at my office was told to come in (including the 5 window clerks). there's going to be 12 of us to do mail that takes 5 of them around 4 or 5 hours.

Basically the last 4 hours of our day will be us trying to find stuff to do. Oh well, really easy day and now I have an extra day off. These people are morons.
thanks 1 user thanked bobbob1 for this useful post.

Workers in the plant can schedule their day anytime between now and June 5th.

That's nice. Just like anything else related to the contract, rules, etc. expect mgmt to ignore it though.

Does their contract contain similar language to this?

https://www.nalc.org/new...uspended-wednesday-dec-5

Administrative leave taken at a future date must be taken at one time and must be taken within six months of the NDO or by the end of the fiscal year, whichever is later. .

Carriers have until end of fiscal year (Sept 30) to use theirs.

ETA: here is APWU with same language.

I volunteered to work(it was my long week already)
I just plan to take a saturday or extend a vacation out an extra day.

We had six people total, they had us take large parcels and every single amazon out.
I finished my route and four others.
Good news for me is that I took just about every single parcel for my route.
We had one ODL either forget or just not show up, so there are about five routes that had no parcels touched,
they are going to have a brutal day tomorrow.
