What is GS13/GS14 equivalent to FDIC pay band? In general, I notice CG12 pay better than GS13.

Thanks.

While pay within a grade at the FDIC is much higher than the GS scale, the grades themselves are generally equivalent. So, if you are a GS13, that will generally equate to a CG13 at the FDIC. The FDIC's Corporate Manager (CM) pay plan is a bit of an anomaly and generally equates to higher graded GS (13-15) supervisory positions.

Is it worth for GS13 to apply for CG12 (if getting more pay) and would like to get into the pay band system for further growth?

Thanks.

That's a personal decision, but voluntarily taking a lower grade actually happens quite a bit with people going to the FDIC from other agencies, especially if they are early in their careers (or mid-career). In fact, it also happens for people late in their careers who want to work 3-5 more years and boost their high-3 averages. It also doesn't hurt that the FDIC usually ranks high in employee satisfaction. And, of course, once you are in the workforce there usually will be opportunities for advancement depending on your occupational series.
