Internal Revenue Service

As a bureau of the Department of the Treasury and as one of the world's most efficient tax administrators, the IRS role is to help the large majority of compliant taxpayers with the tax law, while ensuring that the minority who are unwilling to comply pay their fair share. (Source: www.irs.gov)

This forum will allow you to share and ask job-related questions about this bureau. This is NOT the place to ask tax questions.

Technically managers can't claim hardship as they are non-bargaining. Pretty soon they may be the only ones in the Pods.

Or you can go home. I'd be very surprised if they grant you a bonus for this.

I am one of the hardship folks. Wondering if any CSR's that has been going in every day at either the campus's or call centers, are seeing additional people claiming hardship?

They deserve to be there after going above and beyond the line of duty to distinguish themselves amongst their peers. They are obviously the best employees to remain on duty.

No but we're already pretty darned empty at Cleveland. People were just walking off without talking to managers, though. In that instance, it appears that we're starting to charge AWOL and will be proceeding to firing people who incur too much. It apparently doesn't matter how many empty cubicles we wind up with.

I should hope so. We have managers and leads still sitting at home.

Wow. Some people are astoundingly stupid. They walk off like that without notice, they should be canned.
