Wow! That’s a really long time! Hope you guys are done soon. Im just starting that wonderful phase, so i guess i’ll be waiting a while again.

As far as following them on facebook, they’re always posting new job opportunities and seminars, so i figured we would be encouraged to follow them, as long as we don’t disclose that we’ve applied or are working for them.

T.Swift is correct with regards to social media. If you aren’t aware of what foreign intelligence services are capable of, google China and LinkedIn articles. It’s a massive operation and it doesn’t only stop/end at LinkedIn. If needed, create a pseudonym profile and follow feeds like that but never under your own name.

Yes, I do. And that is incredibly good news, since that took a long time due to the geographies. And how the contractor who had my case conducted business, it was a protracted relay rather than mutitasked; the guy who went to Iowa traveled from Chicago, got lost on campus and "got tired and went home" before finishing interviews, went back the next month.

Thanks for this reply. Makes the prospect of data entry on eqip and the fullscope stuff look like a gift, as at least I won't be waiting for the bg again, much less trying to soothe the academics who get very weird about badges and what they think of as odd questions requiring equally odd answers.

Plus I don't need someone outing me as cleared or potentially cleared to my neighbors. Awkward.

Hello all,

I am going to share my journey to this point.

10/2018 (or thereabouts) - Applied to several positions
12/2018 - First interview
12/2018 - Prescreen interview
12/2018 - Sent in transcripts and DD214
1/2019 - CJO
1/2019 - E-qip sent and SF-86 completed
2/2019 - Interview for another position
2/2019 - CJO
2/2019 - Took CNT
3/2019 - Face to face sit down with the investigator
3/2019 - Interview for the third and fourth position
3/2019 - CJO for position three of four
3/2019 - Scheduled for Poly, Psych, and HR Interview
4/2019 - Called to be informed of fourth CJO coming soon
4/2019 - Second face to face sit down with the investigator
Now...just waiting

My recruiters have been very helpful at every step in this process. For those wondering, I am former military and have literally no social life (lol) outside of my wife, children, and family. I guess it pays to be boring. Thanks to all others who have shared.

Newbie Here:

So my process has been a little different. I am also prior military and have the clearance, but still going through the BI. I think it's because of my frequent travel (while in the military) and foreign contacts within my immediate family. I also think my 5 years is up this year. This has been my ride so far:
12/17- Applied
4/18- Notice of 120 days expiration (still no word)
8/18- Notification of Interview
8/18- In-person Interview
10/18- Transcripts submitted
11/18- CJO
11/18 eQIP submitted
12/18- Revision Request of (SF-86) (X2)
1/19 BI
4/19 Contacted that I'm still going through the BI process

I applied about 2 months ago for like 10 different jobs and still haven't heard anything back at all besides the USA Hire assessments. when should i just start thinking that I wasn't chosen for any of them cause it seems like most of you guys were contacted within the same month you applied.

Hey everyone! I’ve been following this thread for a while now. Does anyone know how long does it take to receive the written CJO and other documents after the verbal? Has anyone experienced a delay like that?

Took me about 5 weeks. The recruiters seem really bogged down.

Maybe you can call the IC Hires line and see if they know anything? (Though, you might get told something you don't want to hear....)


I think you should always act as if you weren’t chosen. It’s not worth it to put your life or other opportunities on hold for a single job that you have no guarantee of getting, especially when this particular job makes normal “Government Time” seem fast.

It took a while for me to be contacted. It was a few months. Since then the process has been moving forward slowly.

I heard of one person who was so surprised when they contacted him for an interview because he forgot about the application. I think in that case it was over a year!

What is the longest you have seen someone wait between interview and CJO or Rejection?

I did the strange online interview in February. Contacted recruiter recently and was told I'm still in the running.

It looks like many people get CJOs instantly after their in-person interview or at least one month later.

Just wondering how long of a gap you all have seen!

Psych completed.

Still haven't heard from an investigator. Spoke face to face with my recruiter and clarified a few things up. She said she estimates 3-6 more months after I submit my paperwork requested from the psych. I am interested to see if that ends up being true or not since I haven't heard from the BI.
