The EOD is a bit delayed due to my own logistical problems. If I could get there sooner they would have had me starting as early as June. Congrats on the FJO! Thanks for sharing! You advanced through the process pretty nicely. Are you be able to share if you've any overseas travel?.

I've been stuck in waiting since, though I'm feeling very hopeful with a lot of folks seeing some movement with their processing and getting cleared lately. Just hoping to hear back soon! Nah, you won’t be dropped from processing. I asked my recruiter about it and they were fine with me accepting a new job in the interim. You might find you’ll like a different job more than the one you’re applying to anyway. There is a very real risk that even if you wait, your slot may be filled and you don’t get the job, even if you get cleared; this whole process is a zero-sum game. Look out for yourself. Thanks, that's a relief to know! Very helpful for those who are in the same boat as me. :) It's been tough just waiting and not knowing when you'll hear something.

Bracing myself for things to slow down now. 2/19 - Credit Pulled 3/19 - Met with investigator 3/19 - References beginning to be contacted 3/19 - Scheduled poly at the end of March 3/19 - First Poly 4/19 - Psych Evaluation 4/19 - Second Poly (Passed) Anybody know about how long the adjudication process is after all of the evaluations? Got the call back from my recruiter and I'm cleared! ...but the job is no longer available. Hopefully his search for another job in the agency is a quick search. 5/19 - Call to let me know I was cleared, but the job was no longer available 5/19 - Phone interview with manager for another job within the agency 5/19 - FJO 6/19 - EOD I did it! I was nervous after the call that the job wasn't available, but the recruiter quickly found another similar job for me. Good luck to all those still in or just beginning the process!

So I just re-read the 2018 thread, and briefly viewed the timelines posted here on the 2019 thread.
It seems like typically, the BI investigation starts BEFORE the applicant is scheduled for the poly/psych.
I completed my poly/psych back at the end of may, but have not heard a word from an investigator. Nor have any of my contacts been reached out to. I had a small state background investigation done very recently for state licensing in something, but that wouldn't nearly cover the type of background investigations the DoD would require. And then my recruiter swore my BI was done already when I talked to her a few months ago, but I told her I hadn't heard anything. I think that minor confusion there is where my unrest lies. I never had a subject interview, and my references were never contacted, so there can't be any way that portion is done, right?
It just seems a bit weird, when so many other's aren't doing their poly until after contact with an investigator.

Hello,
I don't know what date did I apply but got an email from NSA 1 week ago that they would like to interview me for Language Analyst position. They told me that they would like to take DLPT test first which could take months to scheduled because of some backlogs or something. I am already employed but would like to know the timeline. I already have a newly TS/SCI with CI Poly from DoD. Thank you.

Any chance my recruiter no longer works for the agency or something? No signs of poly/psych either. Edited by user Wednesday, June 5, 2019 5:54:08 AM(UTC)

I haven't heard a word (and no replies to my calls/e-mails) from either my recruiter or my background investigator for over 8 months. And no signs of poly/psych or anyone being contacted from my SF form. So count yourself lucky that your BI is going quickly. No response from a recruiter or investigator is standard it appears.

Hi All. Recently applied to a dream job of mine and hoping to hear back. Applied 5/22 job posting recently closed. I am confused about the NSA hiring process as it says on their website that people will be contact for interviews and CJOs will be extended during the 0-5 week timeframe. Is that from time of application or after job closing date? Has anyone Beene interviewed while job posting was still considered open? This posting was up for approx 60 days. First time applying to a federal job. I am gathering that there is a lot of confusion and inconsistencies with timelines but any clarity would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi everyone, I’ve been following this thread since about October 18 and just registered and figured I’d give my timeline.
8/18 Applied 9/18 interview 10/18 CJO 11/18 Submitted sf86 1/19 requested clarification for sf86 2/19 soft credit pull 5/19 met with BI and and references contacted
I recently got an email come in from recruitment office saying I’m in the suitability process so they give me any timeline. Haven’t even scheduled poly/psych. I’m young but have a lot of foreign travel in the past 5 years so I sure that’s holding me up a little bit.

Some get interviewed before it even closes because they need a lot of people (my case) and some you may have to wait especially if they only need one person. And yes, timelines can vary widely and timeframes are there just for reference. For my case, I got interviewed around 4-5 weeks after I applied.

Recently applied and hope to hear back fingers crossed. Anyone here applied to medical or occupational health positions? If so what was your experience and time lines?
