Holy moly! And here I am thinking about hearing from them sometime this month! Such a naive, humbug thought! Out of curiosity, have you lived abroad a lot? I studied abroad for a year while in college; that's pretty much the extent of my travel. I also have some relatives abroad but I don't know them very well, which may complicate things because most of my answers to Security's questions were "I don't know."

Timeline so far: 12/18 - Apply 01/19 - Register for CNT 02/19 - Take CNT 03/19 - Operational Interview 5/19 - CJO Extended 7/19 - CJO Email Recvd/Eqip/SF86 Submitted 8/19 - Met with BI 9/19 - Confirmed BI met with other references 10/19 - Onsite Poly/Psych - Pass Concerns: I forgot to mention on my SF-86 two vocational schools I attended for a field I no longer work in and that was about 9 years ago. I only included my High School and College I recently graduated from. I mentioned this during my poly as during the psych test it mentioned other certification I may have received from another school and it hit me that I forgot to mention the vocational training. I had no disciplinary actions at either school. I mentioned that in my poly prior to testing and mentioned that the psych questions triggered me remembering that I forgot to include. During the psych and poly, I also mentioned my illegal downloading; last instance 3 years ago. Mentioned I felt it was wrong to steal and felt guilty for stealing art from artist I really enjoyed their works. It wasn't fair to them and have since purchased all of my media that had been illegally downloaded in the past. I have also deleted all illegal material around 3 years ago. I mentioned the illegal downloads during the psych and poly prior to testing because the psych requested that info where I didn't really see a place to include on the SF-86. In anyone's experience, am I SOL? Edited by user Wednesday, October 16, 2019 7:54:41 PM(UTC)

They asked me about illegal downloading music which I admitted to, and they simply asked me if I was willing to stop and of course I said yes. That's as far as it went. If they refuse to hire anyone who has done even that, there probably isn't anyone left in the country who is eligible.
As for the SF86, you should probably email your HR person and let them know ASAP.

Thanks @not_real_throwaway. I've reached out to my HR POCs and they said they don't believe I should be concerned.

In anyone's experience, am I SOL? You are not SOL. Same thing happened to me. I went to so many schools over my military career I left some out as well. I also brought up tons of stuff not on the SF86. Key thing to remember here though is everything in the psych and the poly is considered part of your security package, that is why you see them taking notes. Good luck.

Anyone else get a phone call from recruiting saying you are still in processing?

Most likely because I'm a homebody and only lived in a few states. I only had one foreign contact who I don't really talk with anymore. Other than that, I don't know.

I AM BEYOND STOKED. Congrats! Did you get to choose your EOD date? Or was it based off options that were given to you? I was surprised to see your EOD so far out

Hello All,
I checked my application status online and it says I am in the security processing phase since I had completed filling out my sf86 forms the second week of September 2019. Typically do they start the BI immediately without informing us or do they let us know that the background investigation has started? At this point I am not sure if they started the BI and it has been quiet since September from when I completed the sf86 forms. This is for the Computer Network Analyst position I had applied to. Would very much appreciate for the feedback.
Thanks

Derry, once you submit your forms the BI starts. This involves getting the investigators lined up in the areas you've lived.

They gave me EOD's from January to February. They said they had more dates available on request.

Oh okay I see now, then is just a matter of waiting for them to reach out to me to take the poly and psych examination. I was just curious about it since I submitted the forms last month of September. Thank you very much for the feedback 0x41. And congrats on your final offer. What role is this?
