I printed my 1099R from OPM Services Online on Friday 18 Jan 2019. It is my understanding that the IRS will begin processing returns by 28 January. Here is the

associated link to the story: https://www.irs.gov/news...ason-to-begin-january-28

I've also heard that Mr. Trump is recalling some IRS employees to go back to work however they will not be paid. Here is the link to this story:

I will refrain from offering my opinion here as I am sure you have your own and don't need mine. Good luck fellow retirees and Happy New Year.

I'm sorry, I do not know where you get W2's from the USPS but I am sure "PostalVet" here on the forum will answer that as he is retired from the USPS. He is a valued contributor to this forum.

Since you mention W2's, I have a comment about them. It seems to me that regardless where you work, public, private, or federal, when you get your last LES or pay statement, the W2 is basically prepared for the payroll office. The figures are all added up, the deductions are added up, etc, etc, so why the delay in mailing them out so late. Why do any of these agencies need until January 31 to mail them out. I've never understood this!!!! Just sayin.

Mine is not available online as of 9AM Eastern time today.

I believe it is a safe bet that they will arrive in the mail after January 22, 2019. Seeing how today is the 21st, and a holiday. :)

Seems like they have sent them out quicker in previous years.
