Has anyone here done that? How long did it take OPM to actually CHANGE anything?
Did you get reimbursed for the months they took out premiums after you changed it (but they had not processed it)?

I sent in everything they require to change my options in December (the 11th).
In January I called and they told me that my file was in "D.C." ...no explanation of WHY.
They said they would need to get it back.
Early February I get the same story...I am like WHAT THE HELL?
You told me that last month! Why isn't it back yet?
Now we are almost into March...going on 3 months.
With 3 months of premiums coming out...premiums I should not have been paying!
I know it must not be back STILL, because I sent an email and the reply was the same old drivel...
"In order to process your request, your retirement case file must be retrieved"

Are they going to back date it and return those premiums?
Or am I going to be stuck paying for their inability to do their job in a timely manner?

I hope one day when these people retire, they get the same treatment.
I am just so sick an tired of dealing with all these federal agencies that seem intent on making everything as difficult and as SLOW as possible.
They all suck.
