Ok quick one, what's the easiest way to find out my offices branch/location number? I googled and googled but nothing comes up. I asked a clerk, who had no idea. Asked the postmaster and he didn't know either.

Can you be more specific as to what you want?

You probably know the zip code.

The finance number is on your earnings statement.

Post at what office you work and then we'll give you your NALC location and branch number.

What threw me was that a carrier asked a clerk. I have been in both unions, but did not think they had the same number. However, I don't recall the clerk union number. Now I am curious. Never thought about it before.

See why you should not ask a clerk?

it is easier to come here and ask questions so you do not look uninformed by your co-workers.

Sorry, postalvet. I had to capture this one before you changed it. It was just too funny.

The NALC likely has a PO Box. So you could ask the clerk who sees the branch number on the mail. Or they could look at the PO Box application records and tell you.

All that is improper, but I am sure they would do it for you.
