yea me too. I'm still at the background phase, I met with the investigator two months ago and its been silent ever since. I've sent emails to HR but no reply, so its definitely a waiting game here at the tail end of the process. Good luck and patience to everyone still in this!

I reached out to the lady who sent me the interview notice, she gave me an email to reach out to but still no word yet. Definitely annoying

so I finally got a hold of a lady in HR and she let me know I was not getting an interim clearance, so my background investigation is gonna go the full distance and can take an indefinite amount of time to complete. So I have no idea if that's good or bad but she said to sit tight and I'll be contacted one way or another if I'm cleared or not. What I would recommend for you is to contact (by phone) the person who gave you your e-quip code in HR.

Lol we might be the only frequent repliers, but at the moment silent as well I’m not really sure who to reach out to in regards to at least gaining any updates

Dang man, I received the dreaded “non-selection” letter through the mail today. Needless to say I’m bummed. It doesn’t say why, but I’m wondering if there’s an appeals process or if that’s it? This sucks :(

So you had an interview, got an offer, did the drug test, polygraph, passed all those, submitted e-QIP, met with background investigator, and now a non-selection letter? If that is correct then is there an ex with an axe to grind? or a bad boss?

Yup I passed all of that, and even my local recruiter was expecting me to get a location preference sheet soon. I honestly have no clue what went wrong or how to even start asking. It’s just draining I waited almost two years and it ends just like that but I guess that’s how it goes.

it might be worth your time to request a copy of your background, at least what is available to be released to you. There is guidance on how to do this on the OPM website. It takes a while, quite a while actually, but it may provide some insight. It may be the case of what you don't see in the packet they eventually send you that might be telling. Maybe the recruiter could find out on the down low? That might be a faster route than OPM, but even if you do get the scoop that way I would still get a copy of the background. It is pretty bare bones what they send you but it might help.

If it is nothing with the background then I would be dumb founded too, offers are always contingent on funding too but I wouldn't think that is not what is going on here, they are hiring people now for BIRS and continue to advertise as recent as September of 2019.

Wow smh.. that’s messed up.. the jobs that do that with no clear cut reason as to why are weird. I even checked to see if I got anything but nothing
