2 years, 2 months in my position at Quantico working for the USMC. When this position was created, i am the initial person in this seat, HR reviewed the PD and determine the position to be an 1102 - Contract Administrator. The first line of the PD states the incumbent is the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), traditionally that duty is within the program office...which is where i work at. The command intended for the position to be an 034X job series.

In 2018 a Redescription was submitted to HR with a request to talk through the series decision. HR responded with they got it right the first time based upon the PD wording.

Is it possible to revised the PD and resubmit for a reclassification? If reclassified, would it have to be posted and go through a new hiring process or would they just change my series?

Thank you.
