While not for this position, my onboarding section also says a different position than my expected duty station. The position location displayed there seems to be the finance/budget location, your actual POD should be in your tentative or final offer.

Not sure on timeline for west coast hiring csr. I received referred status 7 days ago. How long can one be in a referred status before the recruitment is complete?

Just an update Status changed to "selected" on 08/28/2019. A TO was received by email along with instructions to complete onboarding forms. This is my question: In the TO it advises you to schedule your fingerprinting within 24-48 hours. (So I did at the link provided in the TO). I went to my appointment and was told I was not registered and they showed me further down in the TO where it actually says you'll receive a second email from "GSA" inviting you to schedule a fingerprint session. Now it has been well over 48 hours but no email from GSA. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thank you..

Some time USA.gov is slow.dont worry you have 7 days to complete your tasks. I am already in the system due to the fact I am a contractor. Everything will work itself out

8 weeks training
you'll probably be on the phone first half of your shift and switch to paper cases once the phones go down for the night (8:30).

Thanks for that.
All tasks were completed. Just waiting on email from GSA to schedule fingerprinting. Very confusing how they designate these timeframes but do not operate within them. Also - In the TO it stated to contact the "HR Specialist listed below" for questions but the HR specialist was listed with no contact information.

How did you schedule your appointments? I received the same TO but it had no links in it.

Latest update:
I received a TO previously. I signed it and filled all forms and completed all tasks on the dashboard.
I received an email last Friday from the hiring manager which said I didn't accept the tentative offer and/or complete the required forms.
I checked the dashboard again and it shows all tasks completed and the date that they were completed is listed there. I replied to that email and got a response that did not address this discrepancy. It included no clarification on whether the required tasks were or were not showing as completed and did not instruct me to do anything else.
So, did anyone else experience this? How frustrating -
Hopefully all the information is in there somewhere and it all gets straightened out at some point. On pins and needles hoping it works out!

Hi TaxLady09
I also received an email to accept or decline. I had used my cellphone to accept and career connector did not recognize my selection because I used my phone. I had to go on through my desktop.

Thanks for this info.
Just wondering if when you logged in on your desktop if it showed the task as incomplete. On mine the task to accept the TO was completed and would not let me access it to accept again. The date and time that the task was originally completed was recorded next to it when I looked under "completed tasks".
I did see where the instructions said not to use a smartphone.
Thanks. :)

Firm offers come about 2-3 weeks after fingerprints. If it has been past 3 weeks since you have gotten your prints I would email your HR rep.

I’m really concerned that I sent emails last Friday about my forms not being received and still haven’t gotten a reply 🙁.
Haven’t been sent the second email from GSA to schedule fingerprinting. Just seems like Ive gotten lost in the shuffle.

Hello,

I have received my email to take the fingerprints for the contact rep position. I informed HR I am currently an IRS contractor and I already did my fingerprints. She told me that the HR specialist who does my scheduling will be back in office next week and I can hold off scheduling an finger prints appointment, since I am in the system. Anyone else waiting on HR might hear something back next week too.good luck all.

Completed fingerprinting.
I hear it should be approx. 2 weeks for FO to be sent hopefully with no more problems lol. So my question is after you complete fingerprinting and before issuance of the FO what is going on behind the scenes?? Are they checking your criminal background and whatnot. No worries there just wondering what is happening at this point in the process. Thanks!

I know once they get the fingerprints, they use that to initiate the initial background check. They will also do a check of your taxes for a specific time period (I think it's 3 years, but I could be wrong on the time frame). At some point, they will send an email for the Equip form, which is used to initiate a deeper background check (that's where they ask for references and things like that).
