Congrats on those with start dates and those with new movement. FYI, my USAJOBS account still says "selected" even though I'm in my seat since November 12th. I say that to everyone in the event usajobs doesnt show an updated status. That may or may not happen.

According to my HR guy who heard from IRS HR that there was a hold put in for the time being. No explanation as to why. This could just be on me, but I have no clue b/c everything has gone through except receiving a final offer. I know they were waiting on a form from my current job headquarters. So who knows.

Hey everyone quick question, once you’re fully adjudicated and told so, do they send the eqip link with the final offer and start date?

Perfect! About how long after you were told you were adjudicated did you get the final offer?

That took forever. I was notified in the beginning of August that I was selected. It took a couple weeks to get the TO. I had my prints taken beginning of September and was told I would be starting NLT 30 September.
I received my FO the end of October and started on 12 November.

When I first logged into my email at work I was actually receiving internal emails dated September.

Hi all. I've been following along with many of you in this HCO process. Like most, I interviewed in July (Lanham, MD) and went through the long waits. I received a TO Sept. 20th and completed fingerprints in early Oct. Since then, there has been nothing but silence from HR.

Immediately after the TO I had two offices contact me asking if I would be interested in working for/with them. I chose one and have been speaking with the Asst. Director since for updates and assistance as HR has never returned an email or phone call.

On Nov. 26th I received an email saying my "USAccess credential for the Department of the Treasury is ready for pick up". I still had/have not received a FO. I contacted my Supervisor with this info. and he informed me he had heard there was a "hiring pause" until after Jan. 1st and hiring will continue in FY20 Q2. The USAccess email was sent in error but, if I had the time, to schedule the appointment and see if they would issue the credential.

I figured why not! Well, they couldn't issue me my card (as expected) without a FO and/or orientation date.

So, I'm still waiting, credentials ready and waiting, with no FO or start date. No communication or information on whats going on. My point to all of this? No point I guess, just venting frustration. I'm not looking for resolution or answers as I feel there won't be any but rather, in case there are others in the same boat, you're not alone going through this, lol.

What specifically did he say about January 1st? Why does he expect it to end then? Has there been an official communication?

He specifically said, there is a hiring pause until January 1st. He expects it to end then because, this is what he was told. Nothing official, only what he is being told from his POC in HR.

As I'm not getting any information from anywhere else, I don't have any reason not to not believe this will be the case. There is always hope for something sooner, but the past few months have made that hope slim.

@ NonIRS2LikelyIRS.

Hi, if this is the case, you probably have jeopardize your job since you didn't select 12/09 for a start date. If there's a possibility tentative and firm offers can be rescinded.

I received an email from my HR Manager on 11/20 and she said this:

You have been approved by personnel security to hire, however, our hiring for Human Resource positions is on a temporary hold.

Once this hold has been lifted you will be receiving a firm offer email with a set enter on duty date.

Thank you for your patience.

I'm guessing people are getting different information or are not being told everything of what's really going on.

It it’s 2020 2nd quarter like he heard, it would be really nice if they could let everyone that received an offer letter know. Probably a lot of us have turned down other offers thinking we were almost done with this process and to hold everyone up for 5 months (if you count when you received the offer) is cruel at the least. If there is a hiring freeze, it wouldn’t take long to at least email candidates and give them general guidance on what to expect regarding how long it may take.

I have not. I recieved a TO late Oct/early Nov and radio silence. My HR specialist told me about the hiring freeze weeks ago and now I can't get a hold of anyone.

Is anyone still waiting to be contacted about fingerprinting?
