It probably depends on where you are. When I was in DC there were frequent retirement briefings. I never paid too much attention to them because it's a ways off for me.

I also know that our HR dept would work with people one-on-one to explain their benefits and options. They put quit a bit of work into it for the two guys I know of who used their service.

Ed Z on this forum is an excellent source of info, I would trust his advice. As for info tailored to your specific situation I'd reach out to my HR.
