DEA
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is a federal law enforcement agency under the United States Department of Justice, tasked with combating drug smuggling and use within the United States. Not only is the DEA the lead agency for domestic enforcement of the drug policy of the United States sharing concurrent jurisdiction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, it also has sole responsibility for coordinating and pursuing U.S. drug investigations abroad.

I have not heard anything, it appears if we call and can actually reach someone at HR they can check by our names to see if we are on the best qualified list, so I will attempt to do that tomorrow...I know they got around 12k applications originally before the biodata phase so getting through by phone could be challenging.... Thanks for the tip! For some reason the phone number on the original announcement wouldn't work for me, but I'll try calling tomorrow. The former HR govt workers I know say to never call about an announcement but DEA did impose their own deadline ;)

I have not heard great things on luck with calling in the past, but I think that calling may get better results than emailing the email address in the announcement....I know if I don't reach anyone tomorrow I will try again on Monday, since from the sounds of it the best qualified list has been established and it would be nice to know if we are on it or not.....
I am not sure on the #s they would be dealing with to interview, I would be surprised if we see any interviews this month...

I called the number provided last week and got through after nothing but ringing the time I tried before. They told me I passed the assessment and they briefly reviewed my app and said “You appear to be qualified” and that the next step was a structured interview. But I haven’t heard anything official yet.

That's what happened last year.

Hey, which method of communication have you guys had the most luck with? I called the number and just when I was about to hang up, someone picked up. But then when I told her what I wanted, she put me on hold. And after 10 minutes, I just hung up. Wondering if I'll have better luck emailing them. Thanks.

I wouldn't bother with either right now, as their limited staff is trying to finalize arrangements for a BIRS scheduled to start March 30th. After that date I would say try calling again, but don't waste your time emailing, because in my experience, I have never, ever, and good luck getting them to respond by email....

Is this thread still active? Any updates? I sent an email about a month ago to the email listed in the October Updated Listing ( for those who passed the first initial screening) . Completed Biometrics, but heard nothing after that. Anyone have any updates?
