Can they really move this fast to make a FO? I mean damn a final job offer? By December 2019?

You could try calling them and see if they can clarify things

I applied in August 2018 and received a tentative offer last week. Next steps are medical, drug and background.

I’ll be okay with a 9 but I’ll take a 7. This job seems cool I also hope that I get the location near where I am currently living. I own a home here so.

I'm in the same boat as you but i would prefer the 9. I don't want a location near where i'm currently living though i would prefer somewhere else since i've been in DC my whole life. Time for a change of venue

Update:

Biographical assessment should be done for everyone this month if not by December 31 we should have our scores.

Also: they have 3 academies next year 2020

Jan 6 to March 15
March 30 to June 5
June 15 to August 21

Do NOT expect to be in those. At least 50 people per class. They will be most likely be giving interim clearances.

Keep waiting

They have 3 students in that first class. So if you made it in that would be you but they have 3 people set to go on that.

Can you share your time line please

What locations where you given?? They have a lot of resident
Offices where I am and they have IRS employees there but the closest
Main building is Atlanta GA. So I assume we will be in the field
Resident offices
