Keep your HR point of contact up to date ref your move. Make sure your contact info (e-mail, phone, etc)., is kept up to date. They are usually pretty flexible ref the location and will refer you to the closest DEA office where the interview an be conducted.

I called HR today and they verified that the packets have been sent to the divisions but they don’t have our phone numbers and they are waiting to get that info from OPM but they do have emails.

Anyone successfully contact HR? I've emailed (and called) the contact information on the vacancy announcement and have yet to hear back. Edited by user Tuesday, February 4, 2020 1:45:33 PM(UTC)

You need to call the number. I’ve gotten through every time by calling; haven’t called in a few weeks but last I heard for whatever reason the division offices only have our emails and not phone numbers. I plan on calling Friday if I don’t hear anything.

Not good, but at least a reply nonetheless. "Not among best qualified." That was the answer to my question of whether I passed the interview or not.

So you didn’t pass the bio data test? Or you passed the bio data test but weren’t qualified?

I just recently started looking into this role and I have a few questions for anyone who might know:
1) This looks like it has non-competitive promotion to GS13. Is that correct? Does anyone know what the timeline is? 2) Do new IRS recruits usually end up at one of the bigger field offices (DC, NYC, LA, SF) or are they spread out pretty evenly around the country? 3) This is essentially the DEA’s version of the FBI Intel Analyst position, right?
Thanks!

Thanks! 1) From what I've been told from a current DEA IRS, promotions should come yearly from GS-9 to GS-13. 2) It's a spread. I received my preference list for available postings last month. Fair mix of all types of offices across the country. Ultimately, you're assigned according to their needs. 3) Yes, they function as intelligence analysts for DEA

I have a question regarding this job. I applied through pathways and after talking with HR back and forth, they told me I had to go thru the process but I was the only applicant in Hawaii...and it could go fast if I wanted. They asked me to do the panel interview this week which I rescheduled for next week due to personal reasons. They explained that I would get in as a Gs 9, salary, benefits, etc but my question is, how stressful is this job? I got a FO for another position more convenient for my life and family at a lower Gs that isn't pathways but schedule A, any advice please?

Anybody else hear about an interview? I passed the bio assessment but have not heard anything on the interview. I called HR and they said that I should give them till end of the month and then call if I don’t get an email. I have checked all parts of my email to include my junk email box.

I was told that all interview packets had to be turned back in on 2.14 unless they asked for an extension. Originally Posted by: ffmedic16 Anybody else hear about an interview?
